Indianapolis Market: A Super Bowl-Worthy Year!
Monday, January 30, 2012
By Matt, Market Manager
Our Cash America team in Indianapolis made 2011 a year to remember – a good preparation for the Super Bowl festivities taking place this weekend. We completed a huge undertaking by remodeling six stores, which included adding new floors and counters, better shelving and more windows. We opened a new store location in Indianapolis as well. All of these additions help us better serve our customers!
Along with the six remodels and a new store location, our coworkers also found time to make a difference in the Indianapolis community. We volunteered and raised money in our stores for the “Shop With a Cop” Event. After our store fundraising was complete, employees joined local police officers and took children to a holiday movie and then shopping for gifts.
To add to that, we worked with a local food bank that distributes food to the needy and another non-profit organization to help donate and distribute back-to-school supplies to children. While distributing the back-to-school items to families, we also handed out packets that included tips to reduce the chances of becoming victims of theft.
Our employees don’t have tickets for the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, but we have been selling more televisions as the game has drawn closer. Our Market Manager Joey, a Colts fan, likes to console himself by saying the “Colts are going, they’re just not playing.”
The Colts may not be in this week’s Super Bowl, but we think our Cash America team in Indianapolis is just SUPER!
