Cash America employees shine when it comes to our core value, “We Bring Honor to Our Team!” They set us apart on a daily basis by stepping up to the plate at work and in our communities. Many have shown the utmost integrity when it comes to working with law enforcement and nonprofit organizations. After all, what’s more honorable than making our communities better places to live?

Check out these great stories about some of our employees. We couldn’t be more proud of these honorable Cash Americans. We don’t usually brag, but they’re pretty great!

Heinrich Downes works in the Audit & Security Department at Cash America, and is also a police officer in Boyd, Texas. He coordinated a donation of cameras from Cash America and helped install monitoring devices in the police department, so that they could have a constant eye on police equipment.  Boyd Chief of Police Greg Arrington honored Heinrich with a “Resolution of Appreciation” certificate because of his efforts. Heinrich began working for Cash America in March 2011, and it didn’t take him long to bring honor the team!

Our Training Department also goes above and beyond to educate employees and lead training programs to help make us experts at our jobs. Already this year, they have won the 2012 “Learning! 100 Award” from Elearning! Media Group, that recognizes 100 top organizations for best-in-class learning and development programs. In 2010, they were awarded a gold medal for “Best Use of Video for Learning” by Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning. The award recognized YouDrive—a database housed on our intranet that includes more than 600 training and educational videos, images and wikis—all submitted by Cash America coworkers and accessible to all of us.
